Who To Vote For Now?

As we say goodbye to Bernie, someone else may make up for his loss.

Who To Vote For Now?

As I devastatingly say that Senator Bernie Sanders has officially dropped out from the 2016 presidential election, he has officially endorsed Hillary Clinton for president. He has decided to endorse her for only one reason: To defeat Donald Trump. Although Hillary has agreed to fight for some of the things Bernie Sanders was very passionate about including health care and minimum wage, Hillary has proven to be untrustworthy which makes me wary about her becoming our next president. At the same time, I also in no way want to vote for Donald Trump to become president because he has proven time and time again that he can be ignorant on many important issues. I want to vote come November, but it saddens me that these are really the only two candidates in the running to win.

Because I have been so frustrated with the two presidential candidates, I did some research to see if there was any other way to end this race. In doing so I became aware that there is a third political party of the United States called the Green Party. The Green party is a left-wing political party that promotes "environmentalism, nonviolence, social justice, participatory grassroots democracy, gender equality, LGBT rights and anti-racism."

The 2016 green party presidential candidate for 2016 is Jill Stein. A 99 percent match with Sanders, this politician from Massachusetts could be the answer for a bright future for the next generation. I am all for a woman president, and Jill Stein already holds the record for most votes received by a woman candidate for President of the United States in the general election.

I still don't know how I'll be voting in the November election, however Stein is definitely the option that I've been looking for. It is a lot to think about and until I have more information about every single candidate running no matter what party, my mind will never be made up.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
