John Mulaney, most commonly known for his stand-up comedy shows, is also an experienced writer, actor, and producer. Mulaney started off as a comedic writer for Saturday Night Live for many years before branching out into his more successful stand-up acts. His most popular specials are featured on Netflix, titled The Comeback Kid and New in Town.

In the past few years, Mulaney's stand-up acts featured on Netflix have done exceptionally well, resulting in him having really built up his name and brand. Since having composed such great content and positive feedback from the general public, Mulaney has taken on yet another tour and will be traveling to major cities starting and May. The name of this tour, Kid Gorgeous will kick off in Portland, ME and is scheduled to go on until 'whenever' according to Mulaney's social media.

Mulaney, a Chicago-born, was raised by Irish-Catholic parents. In his performances, Mulaney stresses what it was like growing up with three siblings, being an alter boy, and meeting Bill Clinton. Mulaney also finds humor is his adult life as well. Being an adult means buying a house, getting married, and raising a puppy.

What I have gathered from Mulaney's show is that he knows how to find humor is some of the most simple and terrifying situations. He has talked about what he has seen at high school parties when the cops are called, what family road-trips were like, and the crazy people he has met on the streets. During Mulany's acts, he finds different ways of communicating or relating to his audience. No matter the joke or story he is telling, he finds a way to incorporate everyone so he has the whole crowd laughing.

There is something about Mulaney's sense of humor that will make you laugh until your stomach hurts. His jokes are genuine stories and experiences he has encountered that he has chosen to share with us. One thing about Mulaney is that he never gets old. My friends and I constantly find ourselves rewatching his acts all the time, whether we sit down and binge-watch them all or we just have it in the background while we hang out.

If anyone is looking for a comedian that will make you laugh until you cry, this is him. Mulaney will help you see that all those insane childhood stories, awkward encounters with children or adults, and having to bring in a trainer because your french bulldog has become the master of home, are situations we've all lived through. Relating to his audience and making them feel like we're on the same level is something Mulaney does best. I recommend his stand-up to any and every person I meet looking for a good comedian. I can't stop smiling just thinking about it.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
