NFL teams have one of the largest fandoms in the world. In 2016, more than 264 million people tuned in to watch an NFL game each week. Clearly, are pretty passionate about their teams.

However, if you are like me, your favorite team may have more to do with locale than anything else. Before joining a fantasy football league last year, I only followed the team from my area (Go Hawks!!). But now, after obsessively following stats from players from all over the country, I have come to realize the teams have more defining characteristics than just the city they practice in them. In fact, some teams have very distinct personalities, almost like people.

So, I thought maybe people should be rooting for the team that closest mirrors their personality. Check out the qualities attributed to your astrological sign to see what team you would get along with the best. Are you rooting for the right team?

Aries (March 21 - April 20): The New York Jets.

Aries tend to act impulsively and with spontaneity. Those falling within these dates are brave and bold, but sometimes to the point of foolishness. Aries are often extremely stubborn when it comes to compromises and change. This mirrors the actions of the New York Jets. The team has to change up its lineup in the last few years. The team currently has the second-highest standing in AFC regarding points scored, showing they are playing hard but overall have the lowest record in the AFC East.

Taurus (April 21 - May 21): The Seattle Seahawks.

Tauruses are known to be patient and persistent. They are goal-oriented and respectful. However, while they are considered humble, Taurus can also be extremely stubborn. This is similar to the Seattle Seahawks, who remain stubborn and persistent throughout the season, often clinching the win within the last few minutes of the fourth quarter. Also, the team is led by coach Pete Carroll and quarterback Russell Wilson, who is known for his patience and respect during interviews.

Gemini (May 22 - June 21): The Dallas Cowboys.

Geminis can be described as versatile and adaptable. They are open to diversity and can find success in varying ventures. They are enthusiastic and strive to accomplish great feats. Geminis easily match up with the Dallas Cowboys. The Cowboys have proven to be very adjustable by perfecting two solid forms of offense in both their attack and run game. Also, they are quite enthusiastic about the team’s future, as two of the biggest stars on the team, Ezekiel Elliott and Dak Prescott, are still relatively new to the NFL, with only one full season under their belts.

Cancer (June 22 - July 22): The Oakland Raiders.

Cancers tend to be caring and emotional. They can appear cold on the exterior but are compassionate and sensitive on the inside. Those born during this time are extremely protective, especially when it comes to their family, friends and personal space. This is similar to the Oakland Raiders. The team’s fan base has remained passionately loyal to the team despite their less-than-impressive results in the past. Also, this year the team acquired Marshawn Lynch, an Oakland native who is extremely passionate about his roots. While he may appear harsh and unyielding at times, he would do anything to defend his hometown and teammates, including starting a fight on the field defending a childhood friend from Oakland who was playing on the opposing team.

Leo (July 23 - August 22): The Green Bay Packers.

Leos yearn to be loved and relish being in the spotlight. They are energetic and dominating. Leos are extremely headstrong and tend to be very self-centered. This makes those born during this time a perfect fan for the Green Bay Packers. The team places first in its division more often than not and is led by quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who clearly doesn’t shy away from the limelight, as you may have noticed from his State Farm and Pizza Hut commercials.

Virgo (August 23 - September 23): The Pittsburgh Steelers.

Virgos are known to be practical and very reliable. They focus on the details and are very analytical. This matches up with the performance of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Considered one of the best NFL teams throughout history, the team has performed consistently well, currently occupying the first place in the AFC North by three wins.

Libra (September 23 - October 23): The Kansas City Chiefs.

Libras are excellent at getting stuff done. They are known to be diplomatic and fair. People born during these dates are very good at balancing their lives and delegating work. This matches up with the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs are a well-rounded team. Their points don't just come from one player, but rather the work is delegated throughout the team.

Scorpio (October 24 - November 22): The New England Patriots.

Scorpios are focused and determined. Once they make a decision they will do anything to reach that goal. Scorpios are also considered secretive, jealous and manipulative. This is similar to the characteristics of the New England Patriots. The team has proven its ambition with a win at Super Bowl 49 and remains the front-runner in the AFC East. However, the team has also been accused of manipulating the game with the infamous case of Inflategate during the playoff game against the Colts in 2015.

Sagittarius (November 23 - December 21): The Carolina Panthers.

Those who fall into the category of Sagittarius are described as daring and forthright. However, they are also impatient, inconsistent and over-confident. A Sagittarius may believe that they can do no wrong, but end results prove differently. This aligns with the Carolina Panthers. The team is led by Cam Newton, the charismatic but self-absorbed quarterback who, despite being the Panther’s first round pick in the 2011 draft, has consistently under performed in the 2017 season.

Capricorn (December 22 - January 20): The New Orleans Saints.

Capricorns are known to be methodical, go-getting and persevering. They are unable to just let failures go and work to achieve better results. They also tend to be stubborn and won’t give up on something until it is perfect. This relates to the New Orleans Saints. The team had a rocky start at the beginning of the season with two consecutive losses, but figured out what was going awry. The Saints now hold the top spot in the AFC South and have the best running game in the league.

Aquarius (January 21 - February 19): The New York Giants.

Those born during the Aquarius season can be approachable, friendly and incredibly giving. They always do what they can to better the world. However, they can also be incredibly aloof and detached. If you are an Aquarius, you should consider following the New York Giants. The team currently seems quite detached from the game this season with a record of eight losses thus far. Yet, the Giants can still be considered quite the humanitarians, as quarterback Eli Manning has donated millions of dollars to charity over the years and has raised enough money to build a children’s clinic at the Blair E. Batson Hospital for Children.

Pisces (February 20 - March 20): The Philadelphia Eagles.

Pisces are known to be creative and kind-hearted. They are good at making quick decisions and following their gut feeling. Pisces are also known to be escapists, often running away from their problems. This lines up with the Philadelphia Eagles. Quarterback Carson Wentz is a pro at trusting his instincts and quite literally running away from his problems and he often successfully scrambles out of the pocket. This creativity is definitely part of the reason the team currently holds the top spot in the NFC East.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
