But what happened to the Plastics after high school?

Perhaps the movie most loved by sorority girls everywhere is none other than "Mean Girls." Yes, "Mean Girls," the movie that inspired countless basic group Halloween costumes, and tons of hilarious memes. Perhaps you were like me and Aaron Samuels was your first crush, or you followed the stupid “on Wednesdays we wear pink” rule as a way to exclude that b*tch Sydney from sitting at your lunch table back in middle school. No matter what you did, "Mean Girls" affected us all in some way. But what if the Plastics graduated from high school and went off to college? Where would they have ended up?

Regina George

The second she goes through recruitment she is instantly initiated into the highest tier sorority. Come her senior year she is the president of this sorority and she fully believes in the “legacy be damned” policy. She has no problem with dirty rushing, and if the legacy is not cool enough, she is not getting in! Regina knows that it only takes one loser to bring down the sorority's status, and she worked too hard making it perfect.

Gretchen Wieners

Gretchen is in the same sorority as Regina and had she been put in a mid-tier sorority, she may have had the opportunity to really shine. But just like in high school, Gretchen is soon serving under Regina, yet she doesn’t even have an e-board position! To balance her anger at this injustice, she soon began to spread rumors and gossip about the girls who lived in the sorority house. She majored in journalism and grew up to write a book that ended up on the New Yorks Best Sellers List, “My Hair IS Full of Secrets: Confessions of a Sorority Girl.”

Karen Smith

Whereas Karen was hot enough to get into the same sorority as Regina and Gretchen, she sadly did not have the GPA to qualify. Karen did not have the GPA to qualify for any sorority, actually. As a GDI she decided to major in fashion and merchandising. Karen ended up graduating college with a 4.0 GPA. Yes, she took History of Polka Dots as one of her classes but she passed it, damn it!

Cady Herron

Cady went to the same college as the Plastics and even went through sorority recruitment. On the last day before Bid Day however, she committed what most Greeks would call social suicide. She decided to drop out of rush. Cady decided to be a GDI for a while and find her place in college, but come her sophomore year she actually decided to rush a mathematics honors fraternity, Tri Pi. Even though Regina called her a math freak, Cady was still invited to the best frat parties and was even voted fraternity sweetheart, much to Regina’s rage.

Janice Ian

Janice wanted to go to an arts school in New York, but because her parents were footing the bill she was forced to go to the same school as the Plastics. Janice never participated in sorority recruitment and embraced the “proud GDI” status. She did start her own art club on campus and did eventually end up in New York. Janice is now the curator for the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and is currently on her third marriage.

All in all, the Plastics were pretty successful out of high school. They still wore pink and they still wrote in the burn book but hey, what do you expect? Some things never change.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
