It’s not hard to love your dog, especially when they’re so cute and fluffy and amazing. While people may not want to watch all the videos you have of them on your phone, you can’t help but be obsessed. Here’s a list of 13 things that happen when you’re obsessed with your dog.
1. You take selfies with them. And position them so you both have good angles.
2. You have an instant connection to other people who love dogs.
3. You get super defensive when people say they dislike small dogs. You show them pictures practically yelling “How can you not love that face?!” People might slowly start walking away from you but it’s OK, you still have your dogs.
4. You brag about how “smart,” he/she is for doing normal dog things.
5. You show pictures of them in Santa hats to people Even when they didn’t ask.
6. When you see them for the first time in months and follow them around everywhere because you missed them.
7. You sleep in a fetal position so they have more room to get comfortable on your bed.
8. You double-check Google to make sure every cough or eating habit is normal and not dangerous (Web MD for dogs).
9. You talk to them as if they process what you’re saying And secretly wonder if they understand you.
10. You’re proud when they do well socially with other dogs.
11. You talk to them in a high-pitched baby voice.
12. You let them lick you even though you understand what is happening and how unsanitary is. But they’re so cute.
13. You love them unconditionally. And vice versa. You are their “human” after all.
