Everyone experiences hard times. We lose people that we love. We experience illnesses. We lose jobs or opportunities. We sometimes fail or make mistakes. There are plenty of ways that life can knock us down or make us feel low. It is easy to get sucked into this vacuum of loss, pain, or disappointment. In order to escape from life's bad parts, it is important to remember the good parts.
If you've ever felt sadness, then you can identify happiness. That's the twist to being sad: you can recognize happiness and hold onto that feeling.
When you're feeling low, it is important to remember the good you still have in your life. Look around at your family and friends. Look at all the love and joy there is still left to be had in the world. While it is sad to lose something good, that doesn't mean there's no good left.
Until the pain of a loss has numbed by time, focus on other sources of happiness. Don't lose your hope
