Anyone who is close with their sister knows that they are not just another family member, they are your counselor, best friend, and biggest supporter. You have a partner in crime for life, and your wardrobes are pretty much interchangeable. Having your sister double as your bestie makes life so much sweeter!

1. Talking to her is more like talking to a counselor

She helps you through your problems and knows you better than anyone. She never judges you and always knows the right things to say.

2. You have gotten into fights over clothes…multiple times.

It can defiantly be frustrating when the brand new pair of shorts you bought and were planning on wearing are already being used. Sometimes this can lead to World War Three, but in the end you put the clothes aside because you know a shirt isn't as important as your sister.

3. You have someone to talk to about boys

Scouting out hot boys is twice as fun when you and your sister get to do it together!

4. You can team up against your parents

You are always on each others side, so when things are going down with mom or dad, you always know you have someone to back you up.

5. There's no one else you're more comfortable with

You've literally known each other since birth. You know every detail about each other, and can be as weird as you want with no judgment!

6. When you're forced to spend time apart, you FaceTime and text constantly

Being apart is less than ideal, but you make up for it by being in constant communication! You make sure to tell each other every detail of your day.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
