1. You communicate without using words.

With only one look you can tell who in the room is getting on their nerves, the amount of stress they have over a paper they haven't started yet, how much they like a boy after they hang out with them, and when their smile is 10 seconds away from hysterical laughter.

2. You always have someone to cheer you up.

Whether it means pulling out the emergency pint of ice cream or playing leapfrog down the hallway, they will not let you go until you're smiling again.

3. They find all your belongings.

They somehow inherit the mom superpower of knowing where all of your stuff is at all times.

"Have you seen my....?"

"Try next to the sink!"

4. You don't have to worry about needing a new cute shirt.

You know they're not only willing to help you out, but they'll probably find the perfect shirt that matches perfectly with your eyes.

5. They know how to make your coffee.

On late mornings, if you ask them, they will deliver.

6. You never have to go into a social situation alone.

With any event that could potentially be a hit or a miss, you know you'll have them by your side in case you absolutely don't find any friends.

7. You can enjoy silence together.

Even when you both have hours of reading and a paper to write, somehow sitting next to each other working is better than without.

8. You encourage each other to make healthy choices.

"Should we really get Chinese again tonight?"

"Maybe I should go for a run...do you wanna come?"

9. You go grocery shopping together.

You share all the same food so you might as well pick it out together.

10. Their significant other knows their place.

We encourage each other's relationships, we really do, but when the other is in time of need...sometimes plans get put on hold.

11. Third wheeling is a real thing.

*approaches roommate and their boyfriend*

"Guys! What are we doing tonight!?"

12. You think they're the funniest person in the world.

Regardless of all the people staring when you guys are dying of laughter, you truly appreciate the comedic genius of a roommate you've been blessed with.

13. You get yourself into crazy situations together.

Hey, those make the best memories, right?

14. You learn and grow together.

You start learning new things about yourselves in college and your roommate is right there next to help you to figure them out,

15. Their family is your family.

Their house is the safe place on weekends and breaks if you don't feel like driving home, you know their arms will always be open filled with snacks and love.

16. You know all the odd habits.

From their sleeping position to their verbal processing, you know all the little quirks not everyone is lucky enough to see.

17. Every situation is fun with them.

If an event isn't as cracked up as you think it will be, you know you'll still have a great time with them by your side.

18. You get lonely without them.

If your class schedules are different, even though you think you'd enjoy a little alone time, you find yourself just waiting for them to come home.

19. You can spend long periods of time together.

When compared to living with another person, road trips are nothing. Your time amount with each other is endless because your life is so used to them being in it.

20. You know they feel the same way.

This kind of bond doesn't happen for everyone in college where they get lucky enough to end up with a lifelong best friend as their roommate. But when you have it, you know it. I can't thank God enough for mine.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
