In the past few years of my life, I've struggled so hard with loving myself. My high school years were not the easiest, and I am still dealing with the emotional damage. My biggest aspiration in life is to spread love through my words. I'm not confident in much besides writing, but sometimes I need the words of others to help get me through the day. I think everyone has those days, so these are the words I read when I can't comfort myself.
1. Michael Scott:
Michael Scott might be a fictional character, but I identify with this line so strongly.
2. Meredith Grey:
I struggle with letting my guard down. I do this cute thing where I really want to talk about what's bothering me, but instead, I bring up important news about One Direction.
3. Charlie Chaplin:
I think this is one of the most dark yet inspirational quotes in existence.
4. Carolyn Keene:
"I don't promise to forget the mystery, but I know I'll have a marvelous time."
Maybe this is just sentimental since I ~loved~ the Nancy Drew books, but I love this quote. I have had some not so great experiences in my life, and I don't promise I'll forget them. I do promise to have a marvelous time.
5. Rupi Kaur:
Does this need a caption though?
6. Taylor Swift:
I don't care if you hate her, this is a beautiful speech. I read it every single day. I accept a lot of the blame and guilt for things that weren't my fault, and this quote helps me forgive myself a little more every time I read it.
I'm not crying you are.
