Sometimes I stress about everything. Stress is always here, and from the way it looks, it always will be. The Bible has verses that give us some comfort when we stress.
Isaiah 41:10 says, "Don't be afraid, for I am with you, there is no need to fear, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand." I am so comforted to know that no matter what the world throws at me I am protected by the right hand of God. Isn't that crazy?
Lots of times we stress about careers or "the one" that we try and take it upon ourselves to figure things out. This isn't the way to go, Jeremiah 29:11 says "For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, they are plans to for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope." We have to let go of the reins and allow God to take over our lives and decisions on where we go. This can be done by staying constant in His word and growing in our faith.
I am reminded of the song "Eye of the Storm" by Ryan Stevenson, in this song he talks about the lowest point of his life; he felt God taking control, and he felt love. Isaiah 43:2 says, "When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you." He is always there for you there should be no fear of failure because He will always protect you as long as you rely on Him and have faith that He will be there for you.
"I am leaving you with a gift- peace of mind and heart. The peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don't be troubled or afraid." John 14:27. With all of the evil in this world with war and the things going on with the government and the riots, it's nice to know that someone still cares and someone still loves you and God gives us peace in our hearts because we know He will never fail us. He will always stand for us and with Him on our side, there is no one that can stand against us.
Today stress is more common than most things. It seems no matter what your position there's always stress. I am so thankful that I can have some certainty that I am still loved, there is a plan for my life, and I will find peace in God. I hope you can find the same certainty.
