The past half a year has been an emotional roller-coaster for us all, new and old. We have seen so many struggles, from so many people coming and going, sickness and so much more. I know it's tough for us, so I can not imagine what it is like for "Da Boss" and "Lady Boss", but through all the stress we are a family, at least those of us who have stuck around a while, and by a while I mean longer than a few weeks...so basically the ones you can't get rid of. (I'm approaching two years...and have tried to escape it before, Lol).
We have all had our moments of "I am over it." and I have had my fair share lately. But, and that's a huge but, it's the jumbo buns of buts (that one's for you Jaime), I couldn't leave again if I tried. I would be emotionally distraught. We have become a family, and I couldn't imagine leaving yet, and I don't think it is my time yet.
God has all brought us there to our own little island of misfit toys, as I call it. We have all shared laughs, and gone from crying from laughing to holding each other while the trials we all face bring tears streaming down our faces. It's our safe place. We go there to share our excitement and our hardships. We hold each other and help each other, even when we bicker like siblings. We can joke all day long about being Da Boss and Lady Boss's other kids, but it's true. I could not imagine ever not coming there, to coming back (which was all God, might I add). We have our fair share of people who just don't click, or do stupid stuff to screw it up, but then there is the elite (the old timers) who have been there from anywhere from many years to only almost one year.
We have one leaving now after almost three years, and she has become one of my best friends, a sister, sometimes a mother, and my confidant. I can't imagine the family without you now, but, I know it's your time to leave. I know it's God's plan, and I know how hard this was for you. Thank you for the laughs, the fights and just everything.
Thank you, to all of you, for just being there at some point, for giving us all a little bit of what we need and honestly, and making the Holy Spirit so strong around us all in little ways. Thanks for sharing your secrets and hearing ours.
Lady Boss, thank you so much for holding me when I've cried, reminding me just how strong I am, for helping to continue to hear God's voice and for reminding me to keep listening. Thank you for believing in me.
Da Boss, thank you for the mischief and laughs and for the wonderfully amazing food you make us. Thanks for being hard on us, but reasonable too. Thank you for the fun and the jokes and quirky comebacks that are older than all of creation (don't tell your dad I said that). Thanks for being a big kid with us.
Thank you all for being such a huge impact for us all. Thank you for the life lessons and even the crazy hectic mess this job can be sometimes. I love you all, and at the end of the day, I'm not over it all, I'm grateful for it. I am dreading the day God does tell me it's time to leave.
We may have a list of people who have come and gone and come back again, but for the special ones of us who have become part of this amazing family, just keep hanging in there, and for the new ones to come, welcome, it's honestly amazing. Thank you for my safe place, my friends, my laughs, my job, and for so much more. It was definitely the "Wright" way to go.
