Hello, welcome to the world of stress.
Stress is a college student’s best friend whether we want them to be our best friend or not. It’s not just college students it affects, it hits home with everyone in this world. Being stressed stresses a person out even more. No one wants to be stressed out, but when you are, it freaks you out even more making you more stress. Whenever you are stressed remember this Bible verse:
"In the multitude of anxieties within me, your comforts delight my soul." – Psalms 94:19.
This verse has helped me through my stressful times because it reminds me that God is on my side. God would not give you anything you cannot handle. There are ways to avoid stress and that is called time management. If you do things ahead of time and not wait until the last minute chances are things will not be so stressful for you. Plan accordingly and always put the hardest time consuming work first. As a student, it feels good knowing I did an assignment ahead of time and knowing I will not have to stress about the assignment, as it gets closer to the due date. Whenever you feel like you are on the verge on a mental breakdown from being stressed, just stop take a deep breath and pray. Whether you realize it or not, praying is a huge stress reliever, and that is because you are talking to God himself. To me, talking to God is the best way to feel relief from anything. He is a great listener and knows what roads to lead you down. Stress is the devil trying to manipulate and control your moods on a subject. Do not let stress control you. Your confusion is not of God. God is not confused. God does not want you to stress but to Trust in Him and have faith in Him. To me, stress is the point in our lives when we need to stop and pray. Stress is a sign that means you are lacking prayer. Prayer is the most important thing out of your day. Pray for the people you love and the people who challenge you. Stress can come in all different shapes and forms. It comes in the form of a mental breakdown of tears, shaking, biting your nails, and even staying in bed to long. Stress is not you and you are not stress. Whenever life hits you with those challenging times, do not fear or stress but have your faith that God will get you through it. God will help you accomplish any goal or task as long as you let Him.
If you are a college student about to enter finals remember this: Stress will not take over your life but God can be in control of your life. Just let Him. To anyone else in this world that suffers from stress: focus on God and focus on the positivity of things. Let go, and let God.
