When You Start To Lose Faith

When you start to lose faith, remember that God created you. He gave you life and the ability to do awesome things in that life.

“The Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life." Job 33:4.

When you start to lose faith, remember that God has a plan for your life. Even when you question His plans, He has great things in store for every one of us.

“'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'" Jeremiah 29:11.

When you start to lose faith, remember that He will never let you fall. When we struggle and fight our battles, God is the one who protects us and lifts us back on our feet.

“No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide you with a way out so that you can endure it." 1 Corinthians 10:13.

When you start to lose faith, remember your blessings. We face obstacles everyday, some of us more than others. But instead of focusing on the negatives, focus on all of the amazing things that God has blessed you with. It's so easy to find reasons to be thankful for each day.

“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change." James 1:17.

When you start to lose faith, remember that heaven is waiting for you. Work towards the beautiful, eternal life that God has offered you, despite how hard this life on earth may seem sometimes.

“He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away." Revelation 21:4.

When you start to lose faith, remember that God always has and always will love you. We are His precious children, and He loves each one of us more than you can imagine. Despite our sins, He loves us. Despite our flaws, He loves us.

“But you, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness." Psalm 86:15.

When you start to lose faith, pray. Don't be afraid to pray because the power of prayer is amazing. You don't have to get down on your knees, just talk to Him.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7.

When you start to lose faith, give faith to others. If you can't find the strength to keep your own faith, encourage others to find their own. Love, hope, and faith spread like wildfire.

“Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins. Show hospitality to one another without grumbling. As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace." 1 Peter 4:8-10.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
