When you’re in college, your budget seems to be a constant point of worry. Your bank account is constantly drained, you order water with every meal, and cheap food is your best friend. Pay day quickly becomes the best day of the month and you understand the true meaning of #ballinonabudget.
So, with all this stress about money, what is valuable to spend yours on? After you stock up your fridge (because we all got to eat), here’s some things worthy of parting with that extra dollar on.
1. Plane Tickets
Have you ever heard someone say “Oh man, I wish I hadn’t gone on that trip”? Nope, didn’t think so. Experience is by far the greatest thing you could possibly spend your money on. It also makes memories that last a whole lot longer than any THING you could buy. Trust me, book the ticket.
2. Concert Tickets
Ok this one seems rather similar to #1 but the same rules apply here. You just won’t regret dancing and screaming all the lyrics to your favorite song live. Bonus points if you go to a music festival.
3. Meals with Friends
College goes fast y’all. Don’t regret not spending time with your closest friends while they’re still within in walking distance. Go out to dinner or coffee and use it as a way to be intentional in your relationships.
4. #treatyoself
I may be a bit of a Parks and Rec addict but sometimes you just really need to #treatyoself. With all the stresses of life, we often forget to take care of ourselves and that’s so vitally important.
