Type of person, blood, ethnicity -- what are your types?
With bombshells who have the shape of an hourglass, and the well-documented approval for the frat star, it's difficult to know whether you fall into one of these categories, or if either of them even appeal to you, especially when including your favorite type of food, style type and the qualities you posses.
Tall, beaming smile and eyes like the ocean. Brown tailored hair, with a lacrosse player's build and an impeccable sense of humor. Slender, long shiny hair and a waist that's perfectly toned with a nice butt to grab onto. What about type A, type B, type AB or type O? How about Italian, Persian, Asian, etc.? Then there are the sub-groups of stereotype types: the shining straight A student, the beefy jock, the blonde lacking common sense, the frat babe, the sorority princess -- they're everywhere.
Trying to figure out all of the types you are interested in is no easy feat, even more so, when you don't know what types you are. The process of elimination makes this more simple. You know that you aren't crazy about Mediterranean food, you know that just because someone is in a fraternity or sorority doesn't mean that they're any better than the average non-affiliated individual, and you know that you don't like game players. Unfortunately for us, it's an adventure when it comes to knowing things beyond appearance, alone. So, getting to know your type takes more than a one-night stand or a simple glance at the menu; it's something you have to try. As for your own self-discovery, that's where the real fun begins.
Something I find decently useful are the quizzes that are towards the end of Cosmopolitan magazine. Once, one of these quizzes taught me that I'm terrible at reading a guy's signals. Another one informed me of how I'm more of a push-over than I thought. Knowing things like this about ourselves isn't only useful when it comes to people we can, potentially, be compatible with; it's key in walking further down the path of self-discovery, which is one of the hardest things I've faced, thus far.
A quote that always pops in my mind is, "other people can't love you if you don't love yourself." Same thing goes for that juicy piece of pizza you'd much rather eat than a salad. Acknowledge that you love the pie shaped pieces of you and know that you can't live off of salad, nor should you want to.
There is no single type of person for everyone out there. You may have found them, but they won't be the poster child for your perfect person because, chances are, no matter how hard we try to keep this person as close to us as possible, reality kicks in and that person will change, or your type will.
No one is perfect. Pizza, however is perfect -- cheese pizza, pizza loaded with veggies, pizza with garlic crust. Being aware that you like pizza is the first step; now, all that's left to do is wisely choose your toppings and don't settle for salad if you don't want to.
