What Your Favorite Walt Disney World Park Says About You

For decades, Walt Disney World has been an extremely popular vacation destination for families. When traveling around the different parks, it’s always a fun game to play with your group to figure out the types of people that you are enjoying your magically kid-friendly day with as you walk around. Even if you haven’t yet had the opportunity to visit Disney World, you will probably be able to find which park you would gravitate to the most.

1. The Magic Kingdom

This park is a favorite for many and is known as a quintessential symbol of Disney World. If you’re in college and this is still your favorite park, you’re most likely a kid at heart. With all of the characters and princesses that are available for autographs and pictures, the thrill of the magic of Disney comes alive here. Younger siblings that are in the appropriate age group also love this park because many of the rides are on the milder side instead of being full-blown roller coasters.

2. The Animal Kingdom

You’re probably a little on the wild side. The Animal Kingdom is home to the most nature and animal-filled parts of Disney World. Although the theme park boast many cool roller coasters, there are also other options like the Tree of Life attraction with 3D movies inside and the safari excursion. You’re sure to find something everyone likes in this place full of adventure.

3. Epcot

The worldly food lover is usually attracted to this amusement park. In just a day, you can travel to many countries from around the world all located in Epcot and shop, taste the different foods, and experience the cultures. A few special roller coasters are there to choose from too. You can even travel through space and time right at the entrance of the park. The person who might not enjoy the biggest roller coasters will find their home in Epcot.

4. Universal Studios

Even though this is technically not a part of Walt Disney World, it is still a part of the whole theme park area. Universal boasts 2 parks in one with Islands of Adventure and Universal itself. The adventurous person will definitely seek these parks out. With some of the largest roller coasters and water attractions in the area, there is something to do for everyone.

5. Disney’s Water Parks

Both Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon are water parks owned by Disney World. Everything about them has fun for the whole family. If these are your favorite parts about Disney World, you are probably the type of person who likes to pretend they are on a beach somewhere when presented with a stressful situation. A lazy river can be found circling both parks, so you can choose to float all day or actually find a tube and carry it up long stairs to experience great water slides. These parks are definitely summer stops.

If you have a trip to Disney planned for the summer, hopefully this guide will help you find where you should spend your time.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
