As the summer is about to end and we are all getting ready to head back to campus, we (well most of us) are all looking forward to moving in with our roommate. It is easier when it isn't your first year of college because you most likely know who your roommate is and you can't wait to room together.

Rooming with someone for a year should bring you both together. You share laughs, tears, and a room. At the end of the day even when it gets tough, you learn to appreciate your roommate and who they are. Here's somethings I want my roommate to know before the year begins.

1. First off, I'm super sorry

To start this off let me just say sorry. Sorry that I am going to try to make you laugh all the time. That I am going to show you my love by giving you cute little notes and making you food.

2. Dance Party?

If you are bored, happy, sad, whatever your mood is, we are going to dance it out. Don't worry, I'll bring the speakers and you just plug in your phone. We can turn any day into a fun time with some music!

3. What's on my mind?... Food and sleep.

Don't be surprised if you come into the room and I am eating or sleeping. But I'll make you food! Don't worry beautiful, I'll get enough snacks for the both of us.

4. Little adventures!

We can get bored sometimes. But I am up for anything especially if it's with you. Wanna get something to eat? Climb Table Rock? Get a milkshake from Table Rock? Or just walk around, of course I'll go with you!

5. I'm here for you.

Whatever happens during the school year from passing a test to just having a sucky day. I'll be there for you, literally too, because we live in the same space. Just wake me up from my nap, or shoot me a text, I promise I will be there. I'll make you laugh and smile again!

6. Selfie Time!

Would we even be roommates if we didn't take pictures all the time? Get ready! We can both look beautiful or even looking tired. I'm always taking pictures so get ready for them!

7. Holiday Decorations?

I'll make sure our room feels super comfy and homey! Be prepared for decorations for the holidays! Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, you name it! I'll get the decorations!

8. Movie Dates

There are going to be nights when we both just want to stay in. What's better roomie bonding then watching a movie, face masks, and doing each other's nails?

I can't guarantee that I'll be a perfect roommate. But I do promise I'll be the best one I can be. I'll try to make you happy when you're having a bad day. I'll try my best not to annoy you, but no promises. I just want you to know that I am very excited and I'll try to make this year very memorable for you!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
