The Best Must-Watch Shows On Netflix

Do you ever find yourself binge-watching Netflix so much that you are out of things to watch? Well, I have compiled a list to help with that. This list is basically my go-to even if I've already watched it. All of the items on this list are seriously some of the best Netflix has to offer, they're incredible. So in no particular order (and all on Netflix as of 9/25/16) I present you with the top list of things to watch on Netflix.

1. Chelsea Does

This is seriously one of my favorite shows I have ever watched. It is a series of four hour-long documentary-like episodes that focuses on one topic (drugs, marriage, racism, and silicon valley). Each episode is incredibly satirical of our society and very entertaining to watch. I've always been a huge fan of Chelsea Handler so watching this show was a no-brainer to me; however, for those of you who haven't seen it, please do! It will make you laugh, cry and totally reevaluate your life.

2. Master of None

I honestly don't even know where to start with this show besides the fact that I finished it all in a day, and I desperately wanted more. Thankfully, a second season is in the works, but until then I can just dwell on the happenings of season one. The show follows a young man, Dev, who's life is turned upside down by a pregnancy scare. After that, he and his group of friends navigate life, relationships and everything in between. It's also incredibly satirical and covers topics such as racism and gender equality in such a graceful way, which was really enjoyable.

P.S. this show just won an Emmy for best comedy writing so you know it's good!

3. Dexter

I will seriously suggest this show to anyone who will listen to me and now that includes whoever is reading this article! In my opinion, this show is the best television show ever created, and that's quite a big title from an avid television show watcher like me. The plot is incredibly well written and the characters are also so distinguished and developed. The show follows Dexter Morgan, who we learn is a serial killer. But he is not like other serial killers, he is a serial killer who killed other criminals. Through the show, you go along with him and see all the trouble he gets into.

The ending! Oh my gosh, the ending! While I was watching the show, I heard about the infamous ending but never expected what happened to happen. I won't spoil it for you but let's just say there is a possibility for a continuation of the Dexter series in the future.

4. The Office (US Version)

"The Office" is definitely a show for people with acquired tastes in comedy. It is very odd and strange and incredibly awkward. The show follows the office of a paper company, Dunder Mifflin, in a documentary-like style and the chaos that is created by Michael Scott (Steve Carell). Even though this show is supposed to be funny (which it is, trust me) it made me cry more than laugh. There are so many beautiful and sweet moments for every single awkward moment on the show (Yeah, I'm talking about the Scott's Tots episode... Beware).

5. Dear Zachary: A Letter to A Son About His Father

I have never watched a show on Netflix that has had as great of an impact as this documentary did. The description shown in the photo above is pretty spot-on. No other words can describe how you'll feel after watching this. The documentary maker, Kurt Kuenne, had a best friend who tragically died very young and after he died, his then girlfriend had a son, Zachary. Kurt has the goal of filming footage for Zachary to show him how incredible his father was. However, as the documentary moves on, Kurt learns things that make him wonder what really caused his best friend's death. The story takes many twists and turns but the end will definitely leave you unraveling.

6. Amelie

Last, but certainly not least, is a movie titled "Amelie". I watched this movie after I learned that it was to be adapted into a musical in early 2017 – little did I know how much I would actually love this movie. The movie is all in french and follows Amelie, a young woman who is very shy and quiet. The movie follows her on her quest to find love. It may not seem like much from my description, but this movie is absolutely a must-see. It's inspiring, witty and simply charming.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
