What A Time To Be Alive...

A Trump supporter rally is going to happen at the same time as a Juggalo rally.

I can't believe I forgot to date my calendar for tomorrow. September 16th is a very special day! It's a good thing that I remembered the event planned to take place in Washington, it's not every day I get to see a clash between Juggalos and Trump supporters. That is right, Juggalos and Trump supporters are going to be protesting in Washington this Saturday! Grab some popcorn and a soda, because it's about to go down. I know this is all so sudden-you're probably just as shocked as you are discombobulated, but bear with me for a second. I'll give you a quick run down on the situation at hand.

Let me give you a quick explanation of the motifs behind both parties. I'll start with the Trump supporters; here by known as "the Trumps". Apparently the Trumps are holding a "mother of all rallies" in support of "traditional" American culture. They want to show the fake mainstream media, leftists, and ultimately the world that America stands united with Trump; ready to protect their culture and boarders from globalist invaders. On the opposite side of ring, we have the Juggalos. In case you don't know, Juggalos are what the fans of musical hip hop group Insane Clown Posse call themselves. Unfortunately, their public image is less than stellar. To most people they are known as rambunctious, annoying fans who enjoy covering everything within their vicinity with Faygo, and have bad taste in music. The internet is no friend either as they've largely become a meme. In fact, their brand is so tarnished, the FBI has labeled them a "hybrid gang," which is exactly why they are protesting this Saturday. Unlike the former's motive, this is no laughing matter. They can lose their jobs and even the custody of their children.

It is interesting to note that the music group does not support racism (one of their songs actually attacks the confederate flag as a cultural symbol), so it will be interesting to see these two protest-rallies take place. Some people believe there will be a clash, while some believe otherwise. Unfortunately, there is no way of telling until tomorrow becomes today.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
