After spring break, we can all reminisce about the good times -- or the mistakes (hopefully not too many). Your choice of destination says a lot about what kind of person you are and probably how your week turned out!
The Spring Breakers.
You spring breakers are what every horrified parent thinks of when they picture a college spring break. You are the type that want the party you have every weekend to continue on through your break, and you feel that you have just the beach body to do it. You return from your break with the biggest hangover you have had in your life, and have been drinking to get rid of it since the first morning you arrived. Your trip consisted of getting sunburned, getting sand on everything you own, and spending much more than you had originally anticipated. All in all, it was a successful trip. You laughed with your friends and, hopefully, made a few more throughout the week. Don't you worry -- your sunburn might just fade into a tan.
The Do-Gooders
You decided that the crazy week at PCB was not for you because you wanted to make a difference in your community, your city, your nation, or the world this spring break. Props to you for the ambitious world peace goals. Because you are in the do-gooder category, you are more selfless than the rest of us and are probably nicer on a daily basis. You probably also returned with a sunburn and more dirt on your Nikes. For your week of freedom, you chose to subject yourself to maybe not being the most comfortable over spring break, but rather to use your talents and work to help others in need. Y'all rock. Never change.
The Foreigners
Because you have thousands of dollars lying around (or can acquire it by a due date), you want to go out of the country for your spring break. You are eager to immerse yourself in another culture and usually enjoy trying new things. This category covers a wide range of trips. You are either going to a foreign country for some sort of study purpose, or you are going to a tropical place, such as Cancun, where you plan to spend your break just like the spring breakers. Either way, you need a passport, a much larger suitcase, and maybe a few key phrases in a different language memorized, such as "Where is the bathroom?" and "Hey, how you doin'?"
The Road Trippers
Adventurous ones tend to fall into this category. Because you are more daring than most of your peers, you are looking for a trip just as off the beaten path as you are. Since you seem to be ready to take to the open road, I hope you have a convertible and nice weather for your break, like the people in this picture. I also hope you are just as ecstatic as they are and have a third wheel to take an Insta-worthy picture like this one. Your trip could be spontaneous or planned, but regardless, it is an awesome week filled with new experiences. Picnic lunches, interesting stops along the way, and riding around singing at the top of your lungs is a great way to come back feeling completely exhausted and completely rejuvenated at the same time.
The Stay-cationers
One of the great joys of spring break is the chance to take a break from schoolwork -- unless you have work due the Tuesday you return. You stay-cationers needed a true break. What better break from school than to be at home? Your time away from school ranged from sleeping, eating, watching Netflix and staring at your animals, wishing they could be with you all the time. You wanted to come home for spring break because you live far away and only see your family on Facebook, have nothing else to do so why stay at school, or you have a hard major and need some time to rest your brain. There is nothing wrong with going home. Don't let your spring breaker friends make you feel bad about yourself! You are cool, too.
However you chose to spend your spring break, I hope you had a safe and fun week, full of adventures that you may or may not tell your children one day!
