What pollution really is?

Pollution. While this may seem like a minimal issue, it is one that affects hundreds of thousands of Americans. The worst thing to do as an American is to sit idle and wait for a solution to arise automatically. There are many precautions we can take right now to make sure that pollution is reduced drastically in society. The first thing we can do to prevent the spread of pollution is to conserve energy. We may not think this is important, but it does help reduce the amount of air pollution that occurs daily. When you are not using your computer or an electrical appliance, make sure to turn it off as this takes up a lot of unnecessary energy.

Another solution to the pollution crisis in society is education. Educating students in schools is not enough, we must also educate environmental companies. Educating the students and environmental companies can go a long way as sometimes not even students are aware of the consequences of pollution. Furthermore, instead of using your car all the time, it may be beneficial to use public transportation if you have liable access to it. This can dramatically reduce carbon emissions. Another great factor to reduce pollution is consolidation. When you can consolidate your trips, this makes for less pollution being emitted. This can also help you save money while saving the environment at the same time.

Many people think that pollution will never stop, however, it is truly the small things that make the biggest difference. Driving safely and being able to conduct your errands in one small trip instead of many will help the environment in grand measures. Next time you think of throwing that piece of trash on the ground, think of the environment and everyone that is affected by it. Taking one step at a time, our Earth becomes brighter, greener, and more environmentally friendly.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
