It is a place of rest, a place of peace, and a place of mental clarity. When I think of the city my school is in, I think of work, school, and stress. I think of the anxiety those two things have caused me, and the late nights I had to spend studying for school. When I come home, all of that seems to disappear.
My hometown, which I will not say where it is, is a place of relaxation. I can come home and rest near my pool with a good book, I can swim as much as I want, and I can shoot the basketball as much as I want. I can run the hills around my neighborhood, which is a good exercise, as well as a good way to relax. Also, my Mom eats really healthy, which means that's how I eat when I'm home. So home is also a way to clean myself up.
Another way my hometown helps me relax is with driving. I like to drive around the city to see everywhere I used to live, and the places I made the most memories. I also like to go see the places I played football with my friends. It's all just a blast to the past.
If I want to go out on the town, there are plenty of places to go. There are multiple movie theaters, bookstores, and restaurants. I never have a lack of options.
If I want quiet, but I don't want to be at the house, I can go take a walk in our beautiful park. I can take a book to our park, or to the town center, and read for hours. At home, there's a mixture of quiet and "out on the town" type fun.
Back at my school city, things get crazy. I do have relaxation time when I'm with my girlfriend, or my friends, which is really nice, but I still have a lot of stress. When I'm home, all of that stress goes away.
Home is my fortress of solitude (yes, that's a Superman reference). I come home, get the peace, rest, and advice I need, and then I'm ready to go back and take on the world. Thanks for the rest, hometown
