A college campus is where most people meet their best friends for life. You can always meet interesting people or you can be like me and stay to yourself.
Being an introvert doesn't usually help you enjoy college more because you don't make friends as well or your friends don't stick that great. I'm not the greatest at making friends, but when I do make them, I try to keep them around.
It's hard being an introvert because I want to go have fun at different gathering, but when I do, I feel uncomfortable or awkward. It's not that I don't enjoy being there, its that I feel like I don't belong there without a friend or without a purpose. I could come up with a million and one excuses on why I shouldn't go/be somewhere.
I stay in my room a lot, but at least I get all my homework and papers done. Being an introvert is hard because I want to have the courage and audacity to go look like a fool hanging out with the hundreds of friends that I have, but then I look at it again and I don't need all those friends. As long as I have a close group of friends, anything I do with them will be worth it. My roommate, friend, and I all went to one of those silent discos not long ago, and that had to have been the best night so far. We just hung out and had a blast with all the other people that showed up.
Being an introvert isn't a bad thing. Its a way of life. Don't feel intimidated by just doing something that you love. Go outside and read a book or go explore a new area. GO and have fun your own way.
