With Thanksgiving just around the corner, it is so easy to focus solely on the major food coma that we are all about to succumb to and forget what the main purpose of this holiday is: to give thanks.
Here are some of the things that I am thankful for...
1. I'm thankful for my family.
I'm thankful for my family. I wouldn't be the person I am today without them. They have guided me through life and have taught me so many important lessons that I will cherish forever. They have provided me with unconditional love and have shown me how to be the best person I can be. They are my biggest support system and are there for me through thick and thin.
2. I'm thankful for my friends.
You each hold a very special place in my heart. Whether we've known each other since diapers or just met a few months ago, I am forever grateful that you have come into my life. We can laugh, talk, or cry with each other -- just being in each other's presence is enough to put the biggest smile on my face. Lots of love <3
3. I'm thankful for my dog, Lexie.
I am so grateful for my best friend and cuddle-buddy, Lexie. She's always there for me and never fails to cheer me up. I cannot wait to be reunited with her over the break!
4. I'm thankful for Syracuse University.
I've only been on campus for 3 months but Syracuse already feels like home! I am so grateful to be part of such a supportive and spirited community. The people are amazing and I can't wait for the next 4! GO CUSE!
So when you're sitting at the dinner table this Thanksgiving, stuffing your face with all the delicious food, remember to take a moment to give thanks -- because there is a lot to be thankful for.
