If you're like me and are utterly obsessed with the JK Rowling's hit series, and like to pretend that you attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry instead of the boring institution that you currently attend then please read on. The sorting hat that is presented in the film is a high stress, but a quick and easy way for the students to have their identity and destiny decided for them. In a few seconds of just wearing a magical talking hat, their fate is set. Each house has it’s own special and unique traits. Each house has a broad, but like-minded group of Witches and Wizards. What house are you in? Maybe, an elaboration will help you understand where you would really belong, and what famous wizards and witches you can aspire to be.

Gryffindor: The house that all the wizards and witches I know seem to want to be a part of. This is probably stemmed from the fact that the three main characters from the movie are from Gryffindor. In reality I don’t know too many Gryffindor’s. Some of the traits that Gryffindors possess are bravery, chivalry, courageousness, and valiancy. Gryffindors also tend to live in the moment and are prone to procrastination at times. These characters are hard to find, but when you do find a Gryffindor, they standout in everything that they do.

Ravenclaw: This is a house that is underestimated and swept under the rug at times. What qualifies a ravenclaw are their minds. They are creative, smart, and witty. Ravenclaw are independents, but tend to be analytical at times. Their wisdom makes them powerful in a way that many Slytherin and Gryffindor witches and wizards wouldn’t expect.

Hufflepuff: More people than you may realize belong in this Hogwarts House. They are the best friends anyone could ask for, and their warmth and kindness light up any room. They are open-minded and honest, but tend to be lazy. It takes time for them to gain your trust and loyalty, and their decisions are always based on fairness.

Slytherin: This house tends to be seen in a negative light, when in actuality the members of Slytherin are just using their strength and intelligence to the best of its ability. They tend to be perfectionists and ruthless when achieving their goals, but Slytherin is also filled with charming, realistic, and driven witches and wizards.
