On January 31, 2014 my stepmom gave birth my baby sister, and my world changed.
Having a little sister is one of the biggest blessings in my life. She may only be four, but she is one of my biggest supporters. No matter what I do, she is always ready to chant, "Go sissy, go sissy!" Even when I lose or have a bad day, she is right there beside me holding my hand and telling me, "It's okay sissy!"
Having a little sister has made me become a better me. I know that no matter what I do or say she is always watching and mimicking what I do. It really makes me think how I behave. I want to show her how she should act and be treated, that she can be anything she wants and she can do anything she sets her mind to.
Having a little sister makes you a little crazy. I would do anything for my little sister. For example, before I moved to Asheville for college I picked my sister up from school two days every week. As soon as I picked her up she always wanted snow cones and, of course, we went and got snow cones. By the end of her snow cone she would always have more on her then she ever got into her mouth. She was a complete mess most of the time, but I would take her every time I picked her up because it made her happy.
Having a little sister makes you extremely protective. If someone glances at her the wrong way I get defensive. If she gets to far away from me I freak out and chase after her.
Having a little sister gives you a forever friend. Again I know she's four, but she listens better than most adults. She gives pretty good advice too. I know that no matter what I do in life I will always have her love, and she will always have mine.
Having a little sister has made me grow up and become a better person. My sister means so much to me. I love her more than she will ever know. She's my mini me!
