What I'm Excited for This Month

A Guide to Every Girl's Netflix Account

What I'm Excited for This Month
The Huffington Post

Netflix has a habit of taking my favorite things down right when I am in the middle of them and cannot finish them because of my busy college schedule. Between class, friends, sorority stuff, family time, football season and loads of other things, this girl has sadly taken a Netflix hiatus.

However, with that being said, I have gotten back into watching Netflix for at least a little bit. But, because I have finished almost all my favorite series and am all caught up, i have to try and find new favorites.

The small list below is what I am planning on watching this month, when I find the time:

1. Season 5 of Once Upon a Time.

This show could quite possibly be one of my favorites of all time. It combines my love for fairytale or Disney characters with my love of intense, suspenseful, sitting on the end of your seat kind of TV.

2. Grey's Anatomy

I may be done with the seasons on Netflix, but that does not mean that I am going to magically stop watching Grey's, especially when the new season comes September 22nd on ABC.

3. DISNEY.

I recently read that Disney has given Netflix the rights to release most, if not all of the classic Disney movies during the month of September. As a huge Disney fan, I am really excited.

4. Footloose- The Original

I love this movie. As a musical nerd, this movie is definitely a pick me up. I have not watched in quite a while, but it definitely one that makes me want to get up and dance.

5. Season 4 of Young and Hungry

I HATE the writers of this show because they leave things way too open ended do Gabbi and Josh end up together? What about Gabbi and Cooper? I have to know!

As for oldies but goodies, i have a few that I will never get tired of.

1. One Tree Hill

As a college student, I am so glad that I did not go to a school as dramatic as Tree Hill, but I do wish that the friendships I had in high school were as close-knit as the ones from the Rivercourt.

2. Gossip Girl

As a private school attendee for most of my life I would like to say that Gossip Girl, though some of the aspects were creepily accurate, others were so wrong and off the wall it almost made the show laughable.

3. FRIENDS

I was born shortly after the show aired so I don't really get to tell you how much I loved watching it on NBC patiently waiting for Ross and Rachel or Chandler and Monica to get together, but I am so glad that I can binge watch all 10 seasons at once.

4. Gilmore Girls

This show falls under both categories considering it comes back to the small screen, thanks to Netflix, the weekend of Thanksgiving 2016. I know for sure what I'm doing while I'm on break from school.

5. Glee

This show definitely required taste, but as a choir kid, I absolutely love it, even though when I binge-watched it the first time, I almost skipped The Quarterback, i do love the show and the memories it holds in my heart.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
