As someone who struggles with depression and anxiety, I'm a big advocate for mental health awareness. Here are a few of the symptoms that I go through that people may not even notice affects me.
1. Sleeping for days
2. Not being able to concentrate on tasks
3. Making impulsive decisions
4. Not wanting to show up to events whether it's class or a social function
5. Thinking everyone around you is judging everything about you
6. Not being able to eat in front of people
7. Feeling awkward sitting by yourself
8. Being afraid to introduce yourself to new people
9. Being afraid to get attached to others fearing that they will hurt you or abandon you
10. Accepting mistreatment because you don't have the courage to get out of those bad situations
11. Having suicidal thoughts or thoughts of self-harm even though you know those thoughts are wrong but you just can't control them
12. Feeling embarrassment or shame for having a mental illness and thinking that nobody will ever understand you
13. Thinking that nobody will ever be able to handle you because you're difficult to deal with
