The holiday season is now here and one way people celebrate it is doing some early christmas shopping. After waiting for the biggest deals and saving some cash, stores and online sites start increasing in their sales. Black Friday has always been a success to retail stores and local businesses. People wake up early to go shopping at midnight so they don’t miss doorbuster deals. Now, what about cyber monday?
Cyber Monday had a surprising record of reaching an estimated $3.36 billion in online sales this year. Amazon always participates in Cyber Monday because the sales for the online store are usually a one time thing and it helps them sell their own product at a reasonable price. However, the deals they had for Black Friday and Cyber Monday weren't getting a lot of shoppers attention than the company originally thought.
The deals they were offering weren't the deals people that they were hoping for. If you've ever shopped on Black Friday, you know it's the busiest day for retail stores. Target, Walmart, Macy's and any other big department store our crowded with early holiday shoppers. Target already started having deals on holiday decorations, toys, games, and clothes before Black Friday. Sometimes, stores will start their big deals before Black Friday but would usually add in a doorbuster deal once it hits midnight. If a business has a successful deal, they usually would receive successful business.
However, Cyber Monday is supposed to meet up with people’s standards for when it comes to shopping online for gifts. I check if the deals have changed or stayed the same on Cyber Monday. Cyber Monday to people is another opportunity to spend more money on products that were either sold out in stores on Black Friday or were backordered. It’s really not that special. It’s just an excuse for people to shop some more and give businesses more money for the season. Some deals stay the same, you’re not missing out on a one day deal. They are usually extended for a full week to help the businesses reach their goal for the week. If you want to shop and wait for the crowds, then go shopping after Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
