Ben Higgins (aka Perfect Ben, aka The Bachelor) has been making women across America swoon since he appeared on Kaitlyn Bristowe’s season of "The Bachelorette." Although she did not chose him to spend her life with, he has been referred to as the “perfect man.” But if Ben is so perfect, why has he not found someone to share his life with by now?
Yes, he is only 27. However, if Ben really is the man he seems to be on television, some woman should’ve grabbed him up by now.
That leads me to believe there is more to Ben than what we’ve seen. These are a few of my theories.
1. He is TOO nice, like all the time.
You know how they say girls want to date the bad boy and marry the nice guy. Well, this is true, except when the guy is overly nice. Like, he apologizes for things that weren’t his fault. He never stands up for you if someone insults you. If a co-worker makes you mad, he might say that you need to give them another chance when all you want is for him to agree with you. So pretty much, he’s a wimp.
2. He has some weird obsession/addiction.
Like the kind of thing that gets people on "My Strange Addiction." Maybe he only eats toilet paper. Maybe he has a weird sexual obsession with toes. The possibilities are endless on this one.
3. He is really competitive and crazy about sports.
To me, there is nothing worse than a guy who is good at sports and rubs it in people’s faces. It’s even worse when they aren’t playing. Like do people not realize that the team can’t hear them screaming through the TV. Like seriously guys, just stop.
4. He’s a sociopath.
He knows exactly what to say to get what he wants out of people, which would make sense in this case. He said exactly what he needed to in order to make America fall in love with him. He knows how to make women fall in love with him. But when he is done with them, he drops them because he never had real feelings.
5. He cries ALL THE TIME.
We’ve already seen Ben cry this season, even though it’s just the beginning. A girl loves it when a guy can show his emotions and isn’t afraid to cry. But there is a limit. A girl wants her man to be the strong one and make her feel safe and protected. Ben might need to learn how to control his emotions.
6. He’s cheap.
Right now things are pretty easy for Bachelor Ben. ABC is paying for everything he is doing. They pay for every date that he goes on. And these dates are extravagant. But maybe in real life, he is one of those guys who doesn’t let you order desert and then tips poorly. Come on now, Ben.
There you go, America. Sorry to have crushed your version of Perfect Ben. But he’s still extremely hot.
