Eight years later, sadly, it's time for President Obama to leave office. Aside from being the first African American President, Barack Obama has brought a lot of controversy and tough topics to the table undoubtedly making his presidency one people are either going to look back fondly on, or have a bitter taste in their mouth about. Accomplishments ranging from passing the health care reform, to passing wall street reform, to ending the war in Iraq and turning the US automobile industry around, President Obama has some pretty big accomplishments under his belt. But second to none, Obama is one of the funniest Presidents that has ever been in the Oval Office. So here is a look back on his funniest moments, and the reason we will miss him so:
1. His first tweet
Needless to say, twitter is something politicians love using and it can either be a good thing, or a very sticky situation (hey, Donald Trump!). Luckily, Obama lightened up the playing field when he got his twitter only about two years ago.
2. His infamous mic drop
I think he even had a few of these? Who else could peace out on the presidency with a mic drop? Only President Obama.
3. Obama's thank you note to Congress
Maybe it's because I actually cannot stand Donald Trump but, "How do you like me now?"
4. On Zach Galifianakis
I mean, I wanted a third "Hangover" movie, didn't you? I'd give my left arm to have Obama in office for a third term (if Hill wasn't running, of course).
5. The White House Correspondents Dinner.
I'm unsure of what was funnier after this event, the way the Republicans reacted, or Obama's completely straight face the entire time.
6. His State Of The Union Address in 2015.
Ugh, I just love it when Obama jabs at the Republicans and doesn't even bat an eye–and he knows he, "Won them both."
7. Obama reading "mean tweets"
"Can we fly Obama to a golf course half way around the world, and just, leave him there?"
And if none of those made you laugh, here are a few screenshots of pictures that will be sure to pull at your heart strings. Thank you for eight awesome years President Obama – and we can't wait to welcome Hillary into the spot.
Thanks, Mr. President.
