We all know it's that time of year. When college students are returning to new dorms and new classes. There are several emotions that come with coming back as a returning student rather than a nervous freshman. Here are some of those.
1. When it hits August and you start to get excited.
Everyone starts to feel excited but some dread too. No one wants to start worrying about tests and classes. But soon enough, the excitement starts to overpower the dread.
2. When it comes to the shopping, it's awesome and a nightmare.
It's nice to get some new shoes or some new shirts if you need them but shopping for the necessities to me is torture. No mom I don't care what color our trash can is.
3. You start to reminisce.
I don't know if this is everybody but I am thinking back to when I was a nervous freshman! Also, I'm thankful I'm past that.
4. You greet your long lost friends with insults.
I don't know about y'all but I made friends with people who live at least an hour from me. I wouldn't trade them for the world but I wish they were closer.
5. You realize you have classes shortly after you move.
It's a sad feeling but you're just that more dedicated to making that last free weekend count.
6. But then you realize it's syllabus week.
Syllabus week is one of the easiest weeks in the year, enjoy it.
7. When the professor starts mentioning quizzes.
Why. Just why.
8. You hear freshmen drone on about how easy college will be.
You poor naive thing.
9. You just nap all the time.
Napping galore man.
10. Club meetings are back.
After a long hiatus it's nice to get back to these.
11. Being weird with friends makes you wonder why you were nervous to come back.
We all have doubts but those will wash away.
