As we wake up from our winter's nap and spring approaches, it is prime time for wedding planning. After all, months such as May, June, August, September, and October are the most popular for weddings. Wedding planning takes a lot, and it is impossible to make it exactly perfect because it isn't something where you can learn what works best for you.

What you can do, however, is learn from others' experiences. Here is some responses from recently married women on things they would repeat again in a heartbeat, and things they would change when it came to planning their wedding.

1. #newcooksontheblock

Change: "The one thing I would change is being specific with my D.J. about what I wanted. I was very broad and said to play pop and country, new and old. It was awful. He played the same songs over and over, and played a lot of random songs."

Keep: "One thing I would do again is decorate the whole venue myself, and make everything myself. I loved that it was exactly what I wanted and I felt a sort of pride that I created this myself. It was perfect because it was exactly what I had hoped and dreamed of."

2. Destination Marriage

Change: "I honestly don't think we would change anything!"

Keep: "The one thing we would do again is a destination wedding!"

3. Simple, Sweet Love

Change: "It might sound cliche, but I wouldn't change a thing about our wedding. It was so perfect, and since we kept it small there were little to no hiccups or stress."

Keep: "The one thing I would do again is have a small wedding. By having a small wedding and reception, it made planning so much easier, and so much more special. I didn't have to worry about catering, finding a large venue, or keeping track of so much.

By keeping it small, I got to enjoy the time with my family and friends. It made the process special, and prepared my fiance and me for our marriage."

4. Sunflowers Meet Blue Skies

Change: "I would make sure I'd embrace it more. Truly stop and embrace what you are planning for. You get so busy and stressed that the fun and enjoyable moments get lost. Also, have an idea of what you want because if not, you become flooded with other people's ideas.

Setting a budget too! Do not adjust and do the math as you go. It goes so fast as cliche as that sounds, and you're left with memories so make sure they are enjoyable."

Keep: "I would most definitely repeat the little ways we personalized for both him and me. It was personalized perfectly for who were are as individuals, but also as a couple."

5. High School Sweethearts

Change: "Something I would change... probably just enjoy the planning process more. And not be tooooooo busy to enjoy the friends around me."

Keep: "One thing I would do in a HEARTBEAT is well, there are a few. I LOVED our wedding video. A lot of people don't think they need a wedding video, but I really think it's so good to find someone that can capture you as a couple for who you are and capture every moment of that day that you worked so hard to plan!

I also LOVED that we did the first look. It was still super special walking down the aisle, but really special to be with each other beforehand, pray together, and just process the day (it also gave more flexibility to get pictures done). I, of course, would also say have a coordinator! Someone else other than family or friends to make sure every detail of the day is taken care of. Don't skimp out on this! But it's true! Don't put stress on family or bridal party!"

Biggest advice:

"Prepare for your marriage, and just enjoy your wedding day. Don't get caught up in all the details because what matters is those surrounding you to celebrate the love you've found and the life that's ahead!"

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
