It's finally finished.
Election season is finally over with.
Are you tired? I'm tired.
I still remember being all excited when the first presidential debate came on TV August of 2015. I took notes being the political nerd I am. It was exciting cause this was my first presidential election I could vote in.
Tomorrow we're waking up to a new president. Someone new will be on Pennsylvania Ave. in January. New Congressmen and women will pile onto Capitol Hill. New justices will don those black robes. New legislation will pass and fail and the cycle will continue on.
This is not the end.
If you think one person can bring down a nation, you don't understand how a nation falls. Rome didn't fall because of one man or woman. It fell because of division amongst its people inside. Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump will not cause the fall of the United States of America. That'll be on us.
It may feel hopeless to some, with the craziness and brutality of this past election season. it's been exhausting for everyone. But tomorrow's a new day and the world will continue spinning.
I'm not concerned with who sits in the oval office. My God already knew the outcome before the ballots were counted. And whoever is president doesn't have power over Him.
The hype of this election will fade. Fox News and CNN will find someone else to hate on. People will forget and move on and continue living just like they do after every other election. Then we'll do this all over again in 2020.
So congratulations... we made it.
And we'll do it again and again and again.
God bless America.
