10 Ways To Spend Spring Break

With spring break around the corner for school's like mine, everyone's looking for last minute plans. Do you feel like you have no plans for spring break when all of your friends have these amazing escapades going on? Well have no fear, Hannah is here to help you with all of your spring break ideas.

1. Take a road trip with your friends from home.

You've barely seen your friends from home for the past eight months. Take the time during spring break to see what you've been missing while you've been at school with your college friends. Your friends from home are your friends from home for a reason and you might have lost touch with me them, but a road trip is the best way to remember why you're friends.

2. Go to the beach.

Do the typical college thing and head to the beach for spring break. Inhale and exhale the stress of the semester and soak in some much needed vitamin D.

3. Binge watch Netflix.

When else would be the perfect time to binge watch Fuller House?! Beware, there's only one season right now! Catch up on all of those series that you've been meaning to watch too, like Grey's Anatomy, Breaking Bad, and The 100, to name a few!

4. Study.

I know, you're probably thinking something along the lines of "she's crazy!" Am I though? Why not prepare and work ahead in your classes to save yourself the unneeded stress of coming back to school after a week away. Afterall, the semester isn't over yet!

5. Sleep.

Catch up on some much needed Zzz's. I know I don't get much of this at school because I'm always into some other mischief...and by mischief, I mean library. So treat yourself to the comfort of your own bed.

6. Visit with your family.

They miss you when you're not there, whether they show it or not. There's that empty seat at the dinner table with your name on it, every night. So take a deep breath and spend some time with your parents, even if they are frustrating, because before you know it, you'll come back to school and actually get a chance to miss them again.

7. Go to a concert.

Even if you've never been to one, get out of your comfort zone! Concerts are a great way to meet new people, let loose, and make some awesome memories!

8. Go skiing.

It's your last chance to have any chance of snow related activities, so take this last chance to freeze your buns off! Hit the slopes and let out stress on the mountain side.

9. Go to a rave.

Party it out. Get some of your friends together and go have the time of your life, dancing the night away.

10. Have fun.

No matter what you do, remember to have fun. You have one week of freedom before you come back to be drowned in projects, papers, tests, quizzes, and boring lectures with the final destination of finals!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
