I'm not sure if it's her looks or her fantastically raspy voice, but from "One Tree Hill" to "John Tucker Must Die," Sophia Bush was my girl crush long before she was in the spotlight for being one of the most badass activists. These are just a few of the times I wanted to high five Sophia Bush.
1. That time she partnered up with EcoTools
Remember last year when she partnered up with Eco Tools? And everyone was hashtagging #MyTrueBeauty? For every single person that posted a selfie with the hashtag, the company donated a dollar to the Girl Project. Basically helping to fund education for girls all around the world. Okay yessss Sophia.
2. Her video on birth control
Yup, this is one of my personal favorites. Sassy. Accurate. Fierce. Intelligent. The video was amazing. Did I mention she also looked flawless, per usual? I provided the link in case you haven't seen it yet. Watch her break it down.
3. Her Instagram birthday post to Hilarie Burton this year
Ugh gosh, I teared up. Not only does this expose us to her soft side, but we get to live through the "One Tree Hill" friendship we all know and love with them. Also, she is an outstanding writer; we are awaiting your next poetry book, Sofia.
4. Her #DressLikeAWoman post
Let us quote a piece of it. "Whether I'm in head to toe tactical gear or couture, I am both feminine and tough AF. Whether I'm strapped or wearing strappy heels is none of your damn business."
Or how about when she called out Trump on his lack of Twitter game right after...
"And while you're at it, quit starting twitter wars at 3:30am and focus on not starting real ones by yelling at global leaders and hanging up on them because they aren't impressed by alternative facts. K?"
Yeah, I don't know which section I like better either, but high five Sofia.
5. When she asked for 30k for her 30th Birthday
Last on the list, but certainly not the last that we will see from Sofia Bush. A few years back, she asked for 30k for her birthday to donate to creating a new school in Guatemala. You go girl.
In true Sofia Bush style, I hope this helped your own Monday mantra. Cheers to the women who roar!
