We live in a world where love is so hard to come by. We keep going in a cycle of tragedies and terror and at the end of the day we sit back and ask ourselves, why? There is no single answer to that question, but we need to keep looking for a solution. Everyone is so quick to hate, but we need to find better ways to love.
Sometimes it is hard to feel love when there are people out there who deserve to feel hate. Feel hate towards those people that have caused children to grow up without parents, parents to grow old without children and siblings to grow up without each other.
At the end of the day remember the best way to fight hate is to love.
We live in a world where people are so quick to judge and make assumptions. Everyone is dealing with different demons and we shouldn't be so quick to conclude. "Oh she's not talking to us so I guess she's mad at us."
Did you think that maybe she is overcome with sadness and articulating more than a couple of words uses all her energy?
"He is always alone and never wants to hang out with us, I guess he's not apart of our friend group anymore."
Did you think that maybe he is dealing with so many internal battles that getting up out of bed is hard enough to do every day?
People are too quick to assume they know why people are acting the way they are. Then when they find out the truth they'll say, "Oh, I didn't know," and that's exactly the point. No one knows what you are going through except you and people need to be sensitive of that. People need to think about life from the other person's perspective before they open their mouths and make assumptions.
Take a walk in someone else's shoes, and you just might see the world through a new lens. Sometimes we don't realize how we are acting until we take a step back and observe. Be strong enough to admit you have been wrong and apologize. Observe the world for what it is in fact and not in assumption. Be compassionate and kind. One smile at a stranger could change their whole day or even their whole life. Random acts of kindness can go such a long way. You never know how much that could affect someone.
"I refuse to accept the view that mankind is so tragically bound to the starless midnight of racism and war that the bright daybreak of peace and brotherhood can never become a reality... I believe that unarmed truth and unconditional love will have the final word." -Martin Luther King, Jr.
