Or did these not cross your mind?
A lot of people fall victim to taking tangible things in their lives for granted. Those fragile things being life, love, and family. Don’t get me wrong, I am not suggesting you walk around constantly thinking about what could possibly happen to you at any given moment. What I am saying is be more appreciative. You are not obligated to either, in the case that they can easily be taken away from you.
1.Don’t Be a Funeral “Resolutioner”
Most of us fall into this category. The most devastating thing is losing a family member, and the feeling of regret can be devastatingly dangerous. We oftentimes forget that death exists until someone passes, then we the come to realize that life is short. Don’t be that family member who is only seen at funerals, or catches up with family from time to time. Appreciate life and the people you have in it while you can.
2.Be GRATEFUL
Some may feel they have not yet obtained the level of success they want, therefore, in that case, they are not yet privileged. That is complete ignorance. We are not obligated to things such as heat on freezing winter nights, or air conditioning on blazing hot summer afternoons. You are not obligated to nice hot showers, or even having last night’s dinner. Did you know that 19 percent of Americans living in the United States are homeless? Everything from showers to the shoes on your feet are privileges. Some may say “I work for what I have,” but seeing what you have as a blessing rather than an obligation opens another realm of life. You begin to see life for what it is, and have life more abundantly. Having an appreciation for what you have can turn your meals into feasts!
3.Love Thy Neighbor!
The bible makes it clear that loving your neighbor as yourself is indeed a major key to receiving God’s abundant favor. Some say things like “as long as I have my family everyone else doesn’t matter,” this is an ignorant way to go about life. During our day-to-day journeys, we encounter endless amounts of people. If not already, let me tell you people do matter! If you “love thy neighbor as thy self” will impact the way you see others, if you think about it this way. Would you be upset if someone treated your parent or child in that manner? Then you shouldn’t be doing so to someone else’s. You never know what someone is going through, and something as simple as a smile, or a “Good Morning” can make a drastic change in someone’s day.
Life is a precious thing and things that are precious are fragile meaning they are handled with care. Handle your life with care!
Life is fragile. We're not guaranteed a tomorrow so give it everything you've got.
