Boaz, Alabama is such a unique place. The older I've gotten, the more grateful I am for this little town that I grew up in. In June, I wrote 10 Ways You Know You're From Boaz, Alabama. Since then, I've been coming up with more ways and reasons why I love my little town.

So with that being said, here are 10 MORE ways that you know you're from Boaz, Alabama.

1. The Harvest Festival

Nothing kicks off the start of fall like a Boaz Harvest Festival. Food trucks, lemonade, funnel cakes and lots of shopping.

2. Boaz 9 Cinema

Going to the Boaz 9 is an experience that can't be described.

3. Midget Wrestling

Yes, It's just as weird as it sounds.

4. Mr. Snowball

There is no better way to celebrate the start of summer than with a snowcone from Mr. Snowball. It really is the best snow cone known to man.

5. The Piggly Wiggly

Piggly Wiggly is the best way to get all of your grocery shopping done without having to fight the crowds of Walmart. Grab a snow cone from Mr. Snowball on your way in to make the trip a little more bearable.

6. Pasquales

Two things everyone loves when it comes to food: buffets and pasta. Pasquale's is both and is a staple in everyone's diet in Boaz.

7. Dollar Stores

Family Dollar, Dollar Tree, and Dollar General, if one store doesn't have it another one will. You can really survive off of $1.

8. All the shopping

9. Jamoka's Coffee Shop

When you need that extra boost of energy on a Monday or any rough morning, pull into the drive-thru of Jamoka's coffee shop for a pick-me-up. I promise, you won't be disappointed.

10. Community

The best way to describe Boaz is just one big, happy family. They're always going to have your back and always welcome you back with open arms.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
