Twenty years ago the most awe-inspiring, and undeniably the sexiest, tradition was born: The Victoria Secret Fashion Show. Now, girls around the world wait all year to tune into the incredible performance put on by the angels. The show features many of the worlds biggest supermodels, such as Candice Swanepoel, Behati Prinsloo, and Lily Aldridge. The women who have the honor of wearing the wings, truly define the meaning of beauty and serve as icons for so many girls. When the whole show comes together it features Victoria Secrets finest lingerie, amazing light displays and backdrops that match the outfits being featured, guest performers, and the gorgeous models, of course. In the end, the show is a breathtaking look at all Victoria Secret and their angels have to offer.
The VS Fashion Show has transpired in many places, such as Los Angeles, Miami, London, and this year it all went down in a place that has already been home to the show numerous times, New York City. The location may not have been new, but the same cant be said for many of the models that appeared on the runway. Gigi Hadid, Kendall Jenner, Taylor Hill, and Martha Hunt are just a few of the recent additions to the VS Fashion Show lineage.
The show also featured big-time performers to sing their hit songs as the angles strutted their stuff. The performers included The Weekend, Ellie Goulding, and Selena Gomez. The Weekend performed his hit song, "Cant feel my face," which is totally understandable considering who he is performing next to. Ellie Goulding stole the crowd with her song "Love me like you do," and Selena kept the sexy feels of the night going strong as she performed her hit singles. Between the vocals and incredible ensembles that followed, Victoria Secret definitely got the attention of all their fans once again.
The lingerie featured this year and the costumes that surrounded them were even more extravagant then last year. The crazy themes that were seen on stage were boho psychedelic, an exotic butterfly theme, a winter wonderland theme, a Portrait Of An Angle theme, a USA theme, and the final theme, which was of looks that were made to resemble a firework show.
And no Victoria Secret Fashion Show would be complete without the two million dollar diamond and sapphire encrusted fantasy bra. Every year the infamous bra goes to an angel worthy of it, and this year it was worn by Lilly Aldrige. The bra, along with the costume she wore to go with it was specially made to look like fireworks. Regardless of what the outfit was made to resemble, Aldrige looked sensational.
