That's right, we're going vegan!

But you bet we won't be missing out on one of the best things in life: Thanksgiving dinner.

Many people are now adopting a vegan lifestyle and it may seem impossible, especially as our Thanksgiving dinner host, to find meals that suit us during the holidays. Don't worry, vegans are pure magic and we know just how to make the best meals out of just about anything. Don't believe us? Here are a few recipes you must try that will make all guests satisfied this Thanksgiving:

1. Spinach Dip

This spinach dip may actually be the quickest recipe of the holiday. Vegan appetizers are a must during Thanksgiving, as most of your guests will show up ravenous. Guaranteed, the omnivores at your party will never know the secret behind this vegan dish. It is creamy, cheesy and savory; basically everything we are looking forward to this Thanksgiving.

2. Stuffed Mushrooms

This savory stuffed mushroom recipe will satisfy all of your cheese-loving guests, without actually feeding them cheese. This is the perfect appetizer to hold everyone over before the real feast begins. It is simple, delicious and worth adding to this year’s thanksgiving menu!

Find the recipe here.

3. Tofurky

One of the easiest, yet most essential parts of a vegan Thanksgiving is the Tofurky. It comes already prepared in a multitude of different flavors that are all so delicious! You can find Tofurky at any store, typically in the special diet or vegetarian freezer aisle. Keep it completely frozen until approximately 24 hours before you begin to cook, then transfer to the refrigerator to thaw. Bake it simply or get fancy and roast it with an abundance of vegetables. You and your guests won’t even miss the meat!

4. Vegan Green Bean Casserole

This wonderfully creamy dish doesn't seem like it could possibly have a vegan counterpart. But it does, and it’s delicious! To make this recipe even more simple than it already is, French’s Original Crispy Fried Onions are vegan! So go ahead, add as many fried onions to your dish as your heart desires (we all know that it’s our favorite part of the dish anyway).

5. Vegan Stuffing

My favorite part of thanksgiving, by far. Give me a plate of stuffing and I will be completely satisfied! It is so simple to transform this holiday staple into a vegan friendly recipe. Even if a vegan Thanksgiving isn’t on your priority list, this deliciously simple dish is worth a try. Add a special touch and throw some dried cranberries into the mix, just the way my mother does! You can never really go wrong with stuffing, so go ahead and get creative.

6. Stuffed Acorn Squash

Looking for a healthy recipe to combat the mass amounts of unhealthy foods this Thanksgiving? Look no further. This recipe is stuffed with the high protein superfood, quinoa. That’s right, protein from a non-meat product? Crazy! This recipe will leave all of your vegan guests completely satisfied and thrilled that you went so out of your way (not really) to accommodate for them! Even your non-vegan guests will be amazed at how delicious, and healthy, this colorful dish is.

7. Mashed Potatoes

Six simple ingredients, five of which you already have. The only difference from regular mashed potatoes is that you ditch the milk and swap the butter for the identical vegan version! This recipe is loaded with garlic and is just as creamy as your grandma would make it. A whole scoop of yes, please!

8. Vegan Pumpkin Pie

Don’t leave your vegan friends hovering the fruit platter for dessert this Thanksgiving. This one is for all of your gluten-free guests too! With only 10 ingredients, there is no excuse to not try this one! Top it off with some vegan whipped cream, and you've got yourself one of the best versions of this classic Thanksgiving dessert.

Give the people what they want!

A vegan thanksgiving is even easier than you could imagine. So go ahead, enjoy these delicious recipes and skip all of the guilt! You will never even know the difference.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
