"While I breathe, I hope." A book you must read!

This week has gone by so fast; I mean, this year has literally flown past me. I can't believe that Halloween has already come and gone. Halloween is one of my favorite holidays because it is one of the only days every year you can dress up, be weird, and not be totally judged for it. This year, I didn't go out trick or treating. I had to work, but I did get to run around with my minion onesie on for two hours before my shift ended. Everyone loved it! I made a lot of people smile, and that is my daily mission: to make people happy.

Even if I didn't go trick or treating, Halloween was the launch date of the next book in a series that I have been reading. I have been waiting almost five months for this book. The first book is called Vampire Girl, the second is Midnight Star, and the newest one is Silver Flame. These books are becoming USA bestsellers practically overnight. I found Vampire Girl on my newsfeed on Facebook. It was simply a little trailer that drew me into wanting to read it.

I didn't expect to love this book so much that now I check iBooks to make sure I didn't miss a new book in the series. I have followed their fan page and joined their newsletter to keep myself updated with any Vampire Girl news. Karpov Kinrade is a pen name for a married couple, Lux Kinrade and Dmytry Karpov. They are parents to three little girls who have been in their live videos and are just as amazing as their parents. They do weekly live videos on Facebook to talk to their readers and let them know what is going on. They connect with us, their readers, more than I have expected, and I enjoy it so much.

Now that I've introduced them and spoken a little about them, it's time to tell you about these books that I am addicted too. Vampire Girl is the beginning of the series. If you want adventure, you want love, and you want mystery, this is the book you WANT.

Arianna Spero is just an ordinary girl, or so she thought. On her eighteenth birthday, her mother falls into a mysterious coma. Strange things begin to happen all around Ari. She soon finds out that her mother made a deal with the devil and he has come to collect. The only way to save her mother is for Ari to make a deal herself.

Seven sins, represented by the seven vampire Princes of Hell: Ari must spend a month with each of them and decide who will be the next King of Hell with her as his Queen. Ari makes a blood oath to become one of them and give the King that she chooses an heir. What has Ari gotten herself into? What could possibly happen in Hell? Ari doesn't expect to find love, magic, and secrets that could possibly be something you'd kill for. You have to read it to find out.

There is a saying that Ari says that becomes her motto of sorts, "Dum Spiro Spero." It means "While I breathe, I hope." Hope is something that carries Ari through everything, and this is what inspires me. You have to keep fighting and keep breathing, and as long as you are, then you can hope.

Midnight Star draws you in deeper, showing you what happens the first few months with Ari and her time in Hell. I won't go into more detail because I want you to want to find out yourself by reading the book.

I just finished Silver Flame this morning. I would have read it in one night if I didn't have to work, so it took me a few days. Wow, it didn't let me down. All three books have surprised me in one way or another. My love for the series just increases as I read more. The fourth book is now available for preorder; it's titled Moonlight Prince. It comes out in January, and the wait will kill me, but it will definitely be worth it once I get to read it!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
