Valentine's Day

Yes it's true, I put the head in ass and I'm not even sorry about it.

If you were to ask me what I learned in English class yesterday my mind would probably go blank, but if you were to ask me what I wore on the first date that I had with my boyfriend, then I would most likely be able to tell you every single detail. Remembering these small things is both a blessing and a curse, blessing because on the bad days I can just remind myself of all the reasons why I love him so much, and a curse because on the bad days I remember every single thing he has ever done to piss me off.

So with Valentine's Day coming up and what not, I decided to share with you guys a playlist that I made at the beginning of my relationship with Roland. Throughout these eight months, I’ve added songs to it that remind me of little moments that we’ve shared together.

So here they are:

Wanted by Hunter Hayes

Love Me Like You Do by Ellie Goulding

Marry You by Bruno Mars

Drunk in Love by Beyoncé

Work from Home by Fifth Harmony

Heathens by Twenty-One Pilots

Gorilla by Bruno Mars

Andas En Mi Cabeza by Chino & Nacho

Give me Everything by Pit-bull

Don’t Let Me Down by The Chainsmokers

Happy by Never Shout Never

Can’t Stand It by Never Shout Never

Controlla by Drake

Swear it Again by Westlife

If I Let You Go by Westlife

Love On Top by Beyoncé

Starboy by The Weekend

Side to Side by Ariana Grande

Good For You by Selena Gomez

Love On The Brain by Rihanna

Dear R, I can only hope that I will continue to add songs to this playlist for the rest of my life.

-Love always, M.

p.s I'll hand you a letter with the meaning of each of these songs tomorrow, let' just say some are too inappropriate to share with the rest of the world

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
