Valentines Day, Told by the Characters of Gossip Girl

“You know you love me, XOXO” are the famous words of Gossip Girl. Though Blair, Serena, Dan, Nate, Chuck, and Georgina’s lives are twirled around by Gossip Girl AND they live on the Upper East Side (or Brooklyn), they are still relatable. Let’s see how the characters feel about the holiday of love: Valentines Day.

First thing's first to live the "Manhattan" Valentines Day: The gift must be perfect.

But why can't that be the same for us normal people? I'd be happy with chocolate and flowers, it doesn't have to be diamonds.

And what to say when you're single...

I just want to get back with my ex UGH!!

The characters:

Rufus, we know how you feel.

Our wallet is breaking too. Or it would be if I cared about people.

Obviously, Chuck Bass is the epitome of single.

Anti-Valentine’s Day? You know it.

Serena van der Woodsen is single…for a day.

How to escape V-Day? Work, avoid boys, work.

Dan: hasn’t had a real date on Valentines Day since high school.

HAHAHA oh lonely boy. Wait that’s me too.

And Blair…faking a relationship.

But then she plays “Queen of Hearts” for Dan and Serena. Please set me up with someone and send me champagne and dessert, Blair, please.

Nate: blackmailing his boss to get a girls’ number.

“Do you have any idea how cheesy it is to ask a girl out on a first date on Valentines Day?” Lola, stop complaining, you know you love it.

Georgina: trying to rule the world as always.

“A scandal to end all scandals.” Stirring up Valentines Day.

Okay maybe the party we’re attending isn’t the same as Nate's and Chuck's…

But, since the “high school theme” is so last year, I think I’d rather be at the party Blair is dressed for.

But, the best alternative to Valentines Day: Galentines Day

Happy Valentines Day. You know you love us, XOXO, Gossip Girl.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
