If you're looking to slow it down this summer, New Hampshire has dozens of beaches and drives that are perfect for exploring some of America's oldest places. New Hampshire beaches are perfect for families with kids or teenagers because there is something for everyone to do on these coasts.

Massachusetts

There is so much to see in Massachusetts, from Cape Cod to Martha's Vineyard, that you are bound to find something in this jam packed state. If you're into historical vacations, Massachusetts is a great place to be. It has the second most historical sites in the country and over 50 of them are located in Boston. Come to Boston to explore some of America's earliest history.

Rhode Island

Itching for some new culinary adventures? Rhode Island has gained a reputation for being a restaurant paradise. Enjoy gourmet food and drinks on the lavish coast, or pick up something from one of their many food trucks on this tiny state that becomes 3 percent bigger during low tide.

Connecticut

Take a few steps back in time and enjoy some of the original bed and breakfast places that are situated in the beautiful state of Connecticut. The Inn at Stonington takes you back to 18th and 19th century New England with individually decorated rooms, and just a short stroll from this coast makes this the perfect place to go away for the weekend.

If you're looking for a more wild-life filled vacation, you can head to Allegany State Park with over 65,000-acres of woodsy trails, hilltop views, lakes, and campsites, it makes for the perfect place for a nature lover who may want a day or two in the city as well.

New Jersey

You can skip the house tour of the "Jersey Shore" cast and board a whale-watching boat off of Cape May. These trips are one in a million opportunities to see the wildlife off the east coast. Not only do they help you identify the best ways to spot these beautiful animals, but also educate you on how to conserve their environment.

Delaware

Have your afternoon tea at the Green Room in the Hotel DuPont. You don't have to make it to London to enjoy high tea.

Maryland

Explore the great beaches and dive into the best crab and lobster in the U.S. while drinking craft beer from one of the countries densest concentration of local fresh-brewed beers and barrel-aged spirits.

Virginia

Dive into the Luray Caverns, over 4,000,000 years in the making. You can walk through the enormous stone pillars and glimmering draperies with crystal-clear pools.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
