A midnight to 3 a.m. cookie delivery right to your dorm room? This could get dangerous. Insomnia Cookies is a late-night bakery that delivers cookies and other sweets right to your home, "sweet" home.
Insomnia Cookies already boasts 70 locations. Virginia locations include UVA and Virginia Tech (coming soon), as well as Old Dominion University and VCU. Why do VCU students have the privilege of this delicacy and not University of Richmond students? I thought we Spiders were better at everything, but apparently VCU Rams are more chocolate chip hip.
Insomnia Cookies needs to open up a location near UR. I'm positive many people have succumbed to the sweet surrender of why Insomnia Cookies is a necessity on our campus. Following is my plea for UR students to be included in this nationwide phenomenon.
In college, the party doesn't end once you've returned to your dorm room. Oftentimes, students have an insatiable hunger after a long night of clubbing or lodging. We return as a pack to one of our dorm rooms and collapse on the floor like a pile of dirty, starving animals. Pizza or Jimmy Johns becomes the tough choice we must make. I'm convinced that Chanellos and Jimmy Johns could survive solely on sales from UR between midnight and 4 a.m. on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Insomnia Cookies would give the savage students another outlet for spending dough on food we'll regret eating in the morning. UR students won't hesitate to dish out money on our own spoon full of sugar.
This photo from Insomnia Cookie's Facebook page could be very well be my friends after a superhero themed lodge.
Sorority Bigs, want to stealthily deliver something to your Little's door during Big-Little week without revealing your identity? Insomnia Cookies will deliver them right to your unsuspecting Little's dorm room without the risk of getting caught.
Parents, how often have you wanted to send your child a care package but didn't know what to send? Moms, you can't make your children their favorite batch of chocolate chip cookies when their birthday occurs during the school year? Parents can go directly onto the Insomnia Cookies website and order cookies to wish their child a sweet birthday.
If none of the above has convinced you that UR needs a cookification, then this menu surely will.
Netflix and cookies—a perfect college student combo!
Let's solve this cookie conundrum. Maybe some encouraging calls from parents wishing to send their Spider a birthday gift could help (1-877-63-COOKIE)! Send an email via the comments section of the website describing how necessary their services are! Tweet at them!
Please come to UR, Insomnia Cookies. We "knead" you.
