It's almost here; the time that you've been waiting for since you got back from the teaser that was spring break. Summer vacation is now less than a week away and you are so close to being done. While the song Toes by Zac Brown Band plays on repeat in your mind and you daydream about laying out on a beach somewhere, soaking up the sun; keep in mind that there are plenty of parts of the school year that you will miss in the three months that you are gone. Here 15 ups and downs of summer vacation.

1. You get to see your high school friends that you've been missing since you left them after Christmas break.

You have just gone through two crazy semesters of college. There have got to be some awesome stories that you all can swap when you hang out.

2. You won't get to see the best friends that you made this year who live in different states for THREE WHOLE MONTHS.

Don't worry there are these wonderful inventions called FaceTime and Skype! Who knew?

3. You get to relax and sleep in.

To make up for all of the hours you lost over papers and finals that were due.

4. You have to get a summer job because you're broke from two semesters of college expenses.

Hey, at least you'll be making bank that you can spend on the upcoming semester.

5. You get to have home cooked meals again.

HALLELUJAH! NO MORE RAMEN OR EASY MAC!!!

6. You can't pay for Canes, Qdoba, and Einsteins with points in your hometown.

If you try, the cashier might laugh at you...

7. You get to spend lots of time in the beautiful weather.

In most parts of the country at this time, the weather is absolutely gorgeous!

8. You get sunburned after the first few days of being outside.

Sunscreen is a lifesaver.

9. You get to make frequent trips to the beach or the lake.

Water and summer go together like

10. You have to take summer classes to make sure you don't fall behind.

It's ok, sometimes it is necessary in order to graduate in four years.

11. You get to re-visit the glory days: High School.

Depends on where you went to high school though. Old teachers and friends who were in the grades below you will get to catch up with you. You can see how the place survived without you.

12. You have to see all the people you couldn't wait to get away from.

It's not THAT bad.

13. You get three whole months to spend however you please.

Going to the movies, going out to dinner, even late night drives till five in the morning.

14. You only have three months to till the next year of college.

Three months to pack in all the road-tripping and vacations that you've been planning. It almost doesn't

15. You will get "homesick" for your college at some point.

Summer is great but at one point you will miss college life.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
