Every once in awhile, you're going to feel down and finding a positive outlook can be difficult. Life can be difficult sometimes. If you need to get out of that negative mood, here are some uplifting quotes to help you get through the day or even help you see the potential in you and life.

1. For when you feel like you've failed.

Your mistakes don't define you, what defines you is how you chose to get through them and not only that but the lessons that you learn. Don't be down because you failed but that should be a good reason for you to get back up.

2. The world has a lot to offer.

Don't forget that there's so much good out there. Don't be blinded by your problems, go outside and try to do some stress-free activities and you'll find some joy in things you life to do. It's okay to have fun! The negative in life is just temporary.

3. For when you think you have nothing else to offer.

There's more you can give out to the world other than your appearances. Forget about getting 100 likes on Instagram or Facebook, go and explore your talents. You'll feel more worthy than just being pretty or handsome because not only that you are but you also are capable of much more!

4. You're brighter than you think.

Block out all the negative things people have to say and do what you want and do things that make you happy. Don't let people change you, don't let them steal your light.

5. Learn that it's okay to get rid of all the toxic in your life.

Spend your time with friends and family who keep away the negative energy. It's important to make sure you're not investing in the wrong people.

6. For when you start to compare.

Comparing yourself to other people could be very toxic so try avoiding that. Everyone is beautiful. I know you hear this a lot, but it is true. Every single person has something beautiful to offer and your beauty will not be the same as your neighbor.

7. You can grow and improve each day.

When you make mistakes or go through some hard times, don't forget to learn the lessons. Learn and grow and better yourself.

8. Find the magic in you.

You can always strive for better. There's always room for improvement and believe you have a magic in you and it will reflect.

9. If you're having another bad day.

Spread kindness around. Being kind to others makes you feel good about yourself, doing one good deed causes many. This is one of my favorite quotes because whenever I'm down, making others feel good brings me up.

10. There's a reason doors close.

There's a reason for everything. They say doors close for better doors to open up. Be patient and good things will happen.

11. For women who need the encouragement.

Tell yourself nice things to make you feel better, boost your own confidence!

12. Count your blessings.

Wake up every day with a positive outlook and your day will be much better! Try to find something good in each day.

13. Your journey is inspiring.

What inspires you? For others it may be watching someone else succeed or hearing inspirational quotes from someone they look up to.

If you're waiting on things to go right or go wrong, then your life will reflect on it but instead of just waiting you can try being more positive and it will bring you joy and much more. This is for someone who needs inspiration, someone who needs someone to push them out of bed and start doing their work, or for someone who doesn't think they are cable of wonderful things.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
