Never lose hope; the lamb always comes

Have you heard the saying ‘March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb’? well perhaps this saying can be applied to our lives’, how? You ask. Well some months I feel like they start off so hard, but at the end I can see the light, until the next month comes and new problems arise. As we get older it seems like the waves of misfortunate seem to be bigger and stay longer. But as it is with the weather, it goes out like a lamb. I can apply this same theory to my school year because it defiantly started out as a lion, it seemed like I was in that lion phase for what seemed like months on end, but I had to remember that the lion and the lamb were a match. I had to just be patient and wait for the lamb to enter my life. This school year started off with three deaths, throat surgery, and a tough class, that lion was roaring loud. But you see I survived that semester and even landed myself an internship for the spring semester, I was able to see the white as snow coat of the lamb. Unfortunately life will always be an endless cycle of coming in like a lion and going out like a lamb. But that does not mean that you give up during those periods of loud roars and sharp claw marks, no you should stay hopeful. Life will not be a lion forever, eventually the lamb will peak its head out and you will be greeted by the lamb’s soft white coat. All though I do like the theory of ‘March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb’, life sometimes is a mix of the lion and lamb constantly battling. One day everything goes wrong and the lion roars until your head is pounding and you are sitting on the ground in tears, but then the next day you can’t stop yourself from smiling. It’s almost like overnight your world had flip flopped, you had gone from being crushed by the weight of the world to being on cloud nine. Those are my favorite moments, when the despair and frustration that you were experiencing suddenly without explanation become happiness and peace. The most important piece of advice that I can give to you, is be patient when life is a lion, wait it out because I promise you the lamb will be back again to cheer you up and bring you good fortune. Here’s to your month ending like a lamb; full of success, happiness, love and good fortune.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
