Not so much of a train wreck.

A lot of people see taking public transportation as a hassle or something that's not enjoyable, but I disagree. Sure, it can be confusing at times and you'll make awkward eye contact with people, but there are so many things you can get from taking a bus, trolley, or train. Plus it's fairly inexpensive!

1. The view.

It's one of my favorite things about taking the train down to Center City, Philadelphia. I love blasting some K-Flay music while looking at graffiti on the walls of buildings alongside the Market-Frankford line. Not to mention, if you hop on a train close enough to sun down, you'll get a stunning view of the sunset. It's even better in a window seat, and it makes for a good Instagram post!

2. You get some time to yourself.

Everyone needs a way to get out of the house and be alone. Even though you share the train with other people, you have a great opportunity to think about things, catch up on emails, creep on social media, finish a book, or just relax! I find sitting back in your set or looking out the window pretty good assistance to doing any of those things. You could even take a nap, as long as you don't miss your stop!

3. There are some pretty funny, and cool people on the train.

No really, I've talked to a few handfuls while heading to the city. They aren't nearly as bad as the reputation that's set for people who take public transportation. Some of them tell funny stories about how their nephew took their headphones, and all this time they thought the dog ate them. Some notice a band t-shirt you're wearing and start a conversation about other artists. Some even tell you about their life goals and how they're planning to work towards them. People also use the train as a way to get out and start a career. What you may see as an annoying 'nobody' handing out his/her CD or singing in the back of a train, is actually quite brave and inspiring.

4. It's easier than dealing with drivers on the streets.

And a bit quicker to get around to where you need to go. Nobody wants to sit in bumper-to-bumper traffic and listen to car horns blast every other second. If you take a train, there won't be that problem! And if you like driving fast, a train is perfect match because those things zoom.

So if you want a chance to get out of your house and explore Philadelphia (or a city near you), take yourself and even a few friends to have a great time and interact with people. Be sure to snap a couple pictures to post on Facebook and Instagram!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
